As most of you know, Jason and I love to travel. As nutritionists and CrossFit coaches we are ever conscious of ensuring that our health and diet remains a priority. Sadly, a lot of protein bars contain additives like sweeteners (e.g. sucralose), sugar alcohols (Maltitol, erythritol & xylitol), synthetic fibers (e.g. soluble corn fiber or chicory root), unstable vegetable oils or fillers (canola, safflower & corn oil) and poor quality protein. These types of ingredients can cause digestive upset, bloating and contribute towards inflammatory diseases, so we do our best to stay mindful about our protein choices when we can.
